College Advocacy

You are here:

As part of its commitment to ensuring the highest standard of surgical care for the community, the College endeavours to take informed and principled positions on issues of public health. This can involve participation in consultation processes undertaken by government and the preparation of submissions to government agencies on a range of matters, from the specifically surgical to broader health related issues.

The College provides reports to external agencies, such as the Australian Medical Council (AMC), as part of its role in surgical education and the maintenance of surgical standards in Australasia.
